The grass is always greener

…and more plentiful on our side of the fence. This cow has managed to squeeze her head between our (unbarbed) wire fence to try it out.

There are lots of baby animals around right now. Calves, bunnies, and quail, which are especially cute. Very hard to get on camera though. I’ll keep trying.

  1. So, that’s what passes for “green” grass in the desert southwest.

Here in Massachusetts we would be very worried if that were our grass color.

Fog and the bells of channel bouys makes for a different environment, I guess. Now, I’m in Metrowest Boston, so we don’t have the bouys, but do get the fog and just finished a bunch of rain before these past two days of 90+ degree temps.

Now, if we’d just get some rain, you’d see real green. Here’s what that looks like: http://www.flickr.com/photos/karenandbrademerson/4874419480/sizes/l/in/set-72157614288740305/

I had to look for pictures to remember what this was like!

    Monsoons, where are you?
